Dining Out at the Tamar Inn |
 |
|
The Tamar Inn serves good, home cooked, locally sourced food at sensible prices. Our comfortable modern restaurant has seating for around 30 and overlooks a sheltered decking area where (weather permitting) further ‘alfresco’ dining can be accommodated. Light snacks and meals can also be served in our two spacious bars.

“Through talking to our customers we are convinced that they care as much about where their food comes from as we do, so wherever possible we support local suppliers who can provide us with first class, fresh seasonal produce”. Dougal has a real passion for good food and takes an active role in the kitchen along side Head Chef Tim Shirra.

“Take our Pork for example . Traditional Free Range pork, reared only a few miles down river , slaughtered on the farm and delivered direct to the pub. Healthy happy pigs, good fresh meat and practically zero food miles - and the real benefit to the customer in terms of flavour is, frankly much better experienced than described. We also insist on free range for our chicken dishes”.

The menus detailed below are a representative sample of the dishes on offer but please be aware that at certain times of year the menus are subject to change without notice to ensure we are able to offer the best locally sourced produce.
